About the Program:
Live work on electrical equipment carries a substantial risk of electric shock and arc flash. When exposed to energized equipment, employees must have a clear understanding of the potential hazards, and ways to work safely. This session will cover electrical safety facts, electrical hazards and protection strategies, the appropriate PPE, performing arc flash hazard assessments, and safety related work practices.
About the Speaker:
Scott has over 25 years of project management experience and 35 years of experience in electrical engineering systems design, short circuit, coordination and arc flash analysis. Expertise in power design (both normal and emergency) and power system software to analyze arc flash incident energy levels of electrical distribution systems. Scott is a certified qualified electrical safety trainer of NFPA 70E and Arc Flash Loss Prevention. He also a certified Level I Electrical Infrared Thermographer. Scott has a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Norwich University, is a Project Management Professional (PMP), a LEED accredited Professional and a qualified Commissioning Provider. Scott is also a Vice President of the company and the National Director of Electrical Safety Services.
