As you know, VMA uses some of the Lou Fifer Golf Tournament dollars to sponsor many of the areas Robotics teams. (more are springing up at all age levels) The main competition is about to begin and Norman Lane is looking for volunteers to help the AITR win this year. See his request. (you can learn more about the Robotics phenomenon at www.usfirst.org/)
So you always wanted to play with robots? Here’s your chance! The Academy of Information Technology and Robotics (AITR) at Spruce Creek High School will be participating once again in the FIRST robotics competition. The kickoff for this high energy event is Saturday, January 3 and we need a group of engineers to participate. During the kickoff, teams from all over the world will be watching a broadcast explaining this year’s game. Then we have six weeks to design and build our robot. Please come support the students with your experience and have a lot of fun in the process!
